The War on Mold

Every conflict, whether public relations or military war, must have it's propagandists. The conflict surrounding toxic mold is no exception.

The partisan political opposition to the introduction of medical research indicating associations of mold with disease is organized, mission-driven, and funded by some of the largest corporate concerns imaginable. Presented in this section are examples of some of the most aggregious and ultimately transparent efforts by at-risk industry to forward "Junk Science" of baseless merit, with an intent of influencing Public Health policies.

Readers will find evidence of involvement by some extremely influential individuals and groups, who have every appearance of acting with intent to put the Public Health at risk to forward their own private agendas. The involvement of a sitting United States Congressman from California, a retired US Assistant Surgeon General, and several professional toxicologists who engage in legal "Expert Witness" capacities for astronomical compensations show the degree and depth of the opposition to this issue. Additionally, representatives from large corporate concerns, including lawyers who have ties to major chemical corporations, are throwing their weight behind these efforts. The involvement of the notorious conservative policy influence group The Manhattan Institute, working in concert with the United States Chamber of Commerce, give an indication of the coordination and focus the subject of mold and human health has engaged.

By illustrating these dynamics, it is the intent of the FDRC to bring this issue to be brought under greater scrutiny by the public, who in the end are the most at risk in the face of a lack of information. Members of the FDRC have assisted in presenting information that illustrates the dangers that mold represents to every member of the US House of Representatives, with testimony from victims nationwide whose live have been devastated by mold exposures
